Phonics Program

The goal of our Phonics Program is to help students build a solid foundation for reading and learning which can impact success in all areas of life.

• We Build Confidence – In our program students develop a positive attitude towards reading because they actually see their progress. Their improved reading ability dramatically boosts their confidence so much they are no longer afraid to read out loud.

• Back to Basics Approach - This step-by-step, intensive program is an effective, proven process that encourages reading and more reading and helps build the phonics and word structure skills needed to be a successful reader.

• Empowerment – We help the students develop the skills they need to quickly pick up books and read all the words on each page

Literacy Program

The goal of our Literacy Program is to help students become independent readers who have the ability to clearly articulate their understanding of what they have read.

• Standards Based - Our program helps students develop skills that help them meet state and national reading standards by giving students concrete goals and measuring results so they can see their progress.

• Dynamic – We make reading fun, by creating a highly interactive learning environment that encourages students to actively engage in the reading process.

• Vocabulary – We help students rapidly expand their reading vocabulary with grade level and advanced/SAT Prep vocabulary words.  We also help students understand how words are used in context by providing them with a wide variety of reading materials at different reading levels

• Reading Comprehension Skills – We work with students to help them set a context for reading so they become more engaged in their reading selections.  This naturally increases their ability to recall core facts, get a better understanding of the material and inspires them to want to read more.
