SkillBuilder Math Tutoring Services

“Doing Math” can be a scary thing for both the child and the parent.  We provide the tools and guidance to help each student become successful and excel in math.

We have created the SkillBuilder Math Program in response to the academic struggles of our children.  We seek to help improve each child’s academic skills and help them realize their untapped potential, one child at a time. 

The SkillBuilder Program is a “Back to Basics” program set up to help children, at various levels, develop, strengthen and advance the foundational skills needed to be successful in math.

Our approach to success in math focuses on:

• Individual Assessments – Students are given a Math Assessment to evaluate their need(s).

• Personalized Goals – Goals are set so students and parents can see their incremental progress.

• Individual Program – We perform periodic logic checks to ensure the student can clearly articulate their understanding of core concepts.

• Retention Focused – As new concepts are learned, each student is challenged to ensure previous concepts are not forgotten.

Our goal is to help parents help their children become successful in their academic endeavors.

Private Tutoring Services

Children often show the need for help in school differently.  Kids may show a lack of interest in learning, high anxiety over a test or exam, or no matter how hard they try, they just don’t get the right answers.  Many families consider tutoring as a support option for their child.

Getting to the Root of the Problem . . .

We offer Private Tutoring Services that focus on getting to the “Root Cause” of their problem.  Each child is treated as an individual and after a comprehensive assessment of their skills; a unique, personal program is crafted just for them. 

Learning Styles are Important . . .

Your child’s learning style, a critical component of their academic success, is taken into consideration when developing their Educational Action Plan.

Combat “Out of Sight, Out of Mind . . .

While strengthening weak areas, we make sure that previously mastered areas aren’t forgotten as progress is made.  We assure our students retain their knowledge by performing constant review of skills.

With the combination of “Root Cause” analysis, learning style and constant review, each child’s confidence can begin to soar and take them to new heights.
